How does it feel to be single?

Honestly, it fluctuates some. There are stretches of time where I enjoy no pressure to date or the headache of keeping up with anniversaries/bdays/holidays and arbitrary expectations set by a significant others. There are other stretches where you can get a little emo and "woe is me" where you miss having a gf and the benefits and companionship that comes with it. It gets a bit easier to be alone as you get older, but it also depends on the person as well. The biggest thing I can say to the professionally single people out there is don't let your self worth revolve heavily around having a relationship. Even if its been years since your last relationship or you've never had one at all, your emotional and social well being isn't contingent on whether you can say you have a bf/gf or not. Life is too short to sweat such minor details imo.

I’ve been single pretty much my whole life (well I did have a relationship, got pressured into and it ended the next day). But to be honest it’s kinda nice, and at the same time it’s not. I guess to keep it short, being single gives freedom to do whatever. And being in relationship usually means spending time with the person your dating. That doesn’t mean you can’t have time to yourself, but you can’t do as much as you would being single. I would go more in depth, but it’s kinda late and I’m getting sleepy.

I like it. Being in a long-term relationship was okay for a while but once that ran it's course I just really needed to figure my own life out and find out who I was on my own. Now I'm content with that, I wouldn't mind another relationship but I'm not searching actively. It's been almost a year since the end of my last real relationship and I wouldn't change a thing so I guess it's a good single life! To a degree, I miss being in love but I haven't been in love for... at least nearly two years, probably longer and I only miss it when I watch cheesy romance movies. With my life as it is right now, I am perfectly happy to be single. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hm. I enjoy it, but at the same time it would be nice to be with someone. Having someone to talk to and do new things with, well, I wish I had someone like that. But I guess it's all wishful thinking.

Alright Buddy, Let just say this right now. I understand where you coming from, I was that way for over half my life. Longing for a relationship. But the first thing you got to do, is learn to be happy by yourself, if you can't be happy on your own, content on your own, Then you'll never be fully content with someone else. Personally, While I prefer to be in relationships, I don't really mind. What comes, Comes. Whether it be a life long relationship or a few years on my own. It's all good. Dating is fun. Not everything needs to be serious, And jumping into a serious relationship without knowing the person can lead to disaster.

I was satisfied with it.To tell the truth, to me, being in a relationship was a bad idea that could trap me in the life pattern most women here share and deprive me of my freedom.As a result,I have never been active in datings online and offline＜I was going to be single for good to escape from that kind of life pattern＞.I am neither needy nor lonely, solitude is awesome, books are interesting, anime/manga are exciting. In fact, I was single for whole 23.5 years ( •̀ω•́ )...I changed my mind just because I saw the dwindling hometown, dying old people, unexpected deaths...Ah..life is too short~I should go on some adventures whatever the outcomes will be...

i prefer being in a relationship when your single its more stressful, i tend to stress over "am i gonna die alone?" plus i get lonely easy ;w; im the kind of person whos best in a relationship because i like to nurture and bond so.... im not happy when im single xD
