Along with that, it's also National Encouragement Day. What are your life's most important times in video gaming?
At age 4 I have been gaming since my big sister brought home the then-hyped NES and first played Super Mario Bros. 1 by just walking against the first Goomba and dying.
In 1993, I was in special ed classes that allowed gaming during freetime either on desktops or even SNES or MD/GEN, and when the SNES Star Fox came out, it was the happiest part of my childhood.
When Wave Race 64 came out, its soundtrack by Kazumi Totaka got me into seeking CD albums of game OSTs, but there were nearly none to be found in USA. Japan got albums in CD and other formats available back then, which was sad to the U.S. that mostly preferred most prominent vocal music you cannot avoid and can get tired of.
When Super Smash Bros. Brawl was first announced, that and night owl shifting in college made it more and more difficult to keep up with till the whole roster was revealed, then my father and stepmother almost killed my interest in about every hobby I had with their OCDish life concern issues. UGH! To both of them...

I had to pack up my smartphone with 256GB micro SD card with mostly game OSTs and VGM rips for productivity and driving reasons. Some would as "Why need that much storage?" Reason is .FLAC or storage-consuming audio format "Free Lossless Audio Codec".
Since April 2017, I live alone now, but with relatives nearby, but still have difficulties returning to my hobbies, including gaming. But recently on August 28, 2018, which is Pokémon creator Satoshi Tajiri's birthday, I purchased the Steam version of what was released then, Blade Strangers. In addition, I also purchased Raiden IV: Overkill, Raiden V: Director's Cut and Infinos Gaiden.
Today, I will surely return to gaming and excuse others if they'll accept. Tomorrow is also the day Super Mario Bros. 1 was initially released.
