I don't know how to save my pet chicken

I have a pet chicken and I love her a lot. She was just a chick that could fit in the palm of your hand when I found her but she gets bigger everyday. I've started to live with my mom to attend college. I keep the chicken in a cage when I'm not home. My mom is scared of animals and has never let me keep a pet.She says the chicken has to go as soon as it's fully grown.This makes me very sad. I can't let her go in the wild to be eaten, and I'm scared to give her to a farm because I'm scared they might decide to make her into food or treat her poorly. She's not a normal pet so I can't send her to a shelter. I don't know how to save Kilala. She's the only friend I have.

I agree with Cheeto! Put your all into convincing your mother! I don't think that anyone else would be able to give Kilala the same love and care you give her and I'm sure you wouldn't be satisfied with anyone other than you taking care of her. Rooting for you and Kilala! Try your best and I hope everything works out!

Check your local area. Lots of people love chickens as pets, many more love hand-reared chickens. Post a pic of Kilala! I also think you should sit down with your mum and mention how important it is to you. If you don't trust your mum to not get rid of her when you aren't around, find another chicken lover ASAP. Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy.

Do everything you can to save your little lady cluck cluck because if she's truly special to you then you need to let your mum know - do everything you can to convince her and I'm sure she'll live the rest of her good life with you :3 EDIT: Reads your last comment - well bugger I have terrible eyesight!
