I would like to contribute but I kinda need time for something like this. I'm not a very good critic, my thoughts are a mess and writing long texts in english is kinda though. I'll drop something one of these days just because.

https://i.imgur.com/KVdbaBz.png I don't feel good if I don't keep my word, so here is something. https://i.imgur.com/ELG9DYf.jpg Name: Shirobako Genres: Comedy, Drama Episodes: 24 Synopsis It all started in Kaminoyama High School, when five best friends—Aoi Miyamori, Ema Yasuhara, Midori Imai, Shizuka Sakaki, and Misa Toudou—discovered their collective love for all things anime and formed the animation club. After making their first amateur anime together and showcasing it at the culture festival, the group vow to pursue careers in the industry, aiming to one day work together and create their own mainstream show. Two and a half years later, Aoi and Ema have managed to land jobs at the illustrious Musashino Animation production company. The others, however, are finding it difficult to get their dream jobs. Shizuka is feeling the weight of not being recognized as a capable voice actor, Misa has a secure yet unsatisfying career designing 3D models for a car company, and Midori is a university student intent on pursuing her dream as a story writer. These five girls will learn that the path to success is one with many diversions, but dreams can still be achieved through perseverance and a touch of eccentric creativity. ----------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: This maaaaaay be a bit biased because is one of my favorite shows xD First Thoughs I'm a big fan of comedies and Slice of life so I started watching the anime expecting a "cute girls doing cute things" with a "let's create anime" theme. It's not like I would dislike that, but let's say I wasn't expecting much from the show. The first scenes were like confirming these thoughts, but that wasn't the case. The next scenes and following episdes reveals much more: There's a really big cast of different and likeable characters, a polished animation, a great soundtrack to acompany happy, sad and tense moments and also really important, it shows with big care how and anime show is made and all the differents people involved with it. Second Thoughs. Being in middle of the show, like episode 12, I was surprised how the 5 protagonist girls weren't really a big focus of the show (besides one). They weren't really irrelevant, but there's such a big cast that the show uses a lot of time to cover them. I liked a lot knowing about all the different jobs involved and the different motivations of even the characters with almost no screen time, but still with good interactions to be likeable. That's probably the biggest strenght of the show to me, and it would still prove it to the end. Conclusions Like I mentioned, the strenghts of the show didn't fade away. The difference in the second half of the show is seeing more of the girls and the differents struggles on their respective areas of work. The show conveys very well the stress, the loss of motivation and different problems of the characters and also mantaining the teaching to the viewers about the production process. Obviously the accuracy of production of an anime is a bit stretched for dramatic effects and making scenes more interesting, but the inside knowledge of an anime still holds true to some extent and is interesting to know about. Anyways, the story concludes in a fulfilling way, making you happy about their accomplishments, just with a few plot points not explained that much...but who knows, there's a moview coming in the future :) --------------------------- The best: *Really clean animation. Since the show is about animation itself, probably was a big focus in the first place. *Good soundtrack. SoLs may sometimes be lazy about the chosen music but there's a lot of care here for different occasions. *A really big cast with likeable characters, not just in amount, personalities, motivations and differents characteristics. The worst *The big strenght I've been mentioned is probably not for anyone. With many characters, not everyone will be a fan of many side stories and may prefer a bigger focus on characters they like. Final Score: 10/10 ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ not biased at all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2e9S2z3vPhI
