Making others happy

I'd argue, the reward is in the act of helping. I mean, though your therapist gets paid, dont you think they might just find it rewarding to help others? I mean, it's thier job, but I'd bet they'd say that they find it rewarding, hard, but rewarding. The only issue is that you don't want to get taken advantage of or be a doormat. Yeah, the world owes you nothing, but you owe it to yourself to find what makes you happy.

You should not allow negative thoughts or feelings to drain you of your energy.Instead you had better pay more attention to all the good that is in ur lives. The vibes of positive energy may attract wonderful things into your lives. You have to be your own best friend because there is going to be days where no-one is going to be there for you..

@neeto Givers and takers are just a way to falsely label and incorrectly categorize people, and does nothing but to demean people as individuals. Everyone gives and everyone takes, its just how people are. But what you're defining and have generalized givers as, are people who keep on being loyal and caring about others so that they in return will be cared for and be loved, as a means to replace their own self-esteem due to their own insecurity with themselves, rather than already having a healthy self-esteem, finding a partner who also has a healthy self-esteem, and caring about others as a means to form a healthy relationships built on earning each others mutual trust and respect. Is love simply giving and giving back to a person? Or is love accepting each others flaws, being comfortable around each other, and talking to each other through obstacles? And then you define takers as people who simply hurt or wrong others, specifically hurting others who give. If I humor the ideal of givers and takers, can the giver not choose who they decide to give to? Why would the giver give to people who don't respect the giver? If its because the person was say, using a mask and deceiving you the entire time with no way of you knowing, then I ask, why would a giver care when something is taken from them, if they're supposed to give? If your a giver, as the label implies, why blame the world and others from taking from you? Its cause you want something in return, but you refuse to take it because you think its wrong, but EVERYONE takes from each other to some degree. Taking isn't wrong. Or is it a crime to grab an apple from an apple tree or for a baby to take a toy that mother handed to it? The world is just, not changing oneself and blaming the world or the people around you cause you think you're justified and right just cause others are always leaving or hurting you, despite you being the one who decides to keep taking the bullet and giving things up for people, won't get you anywhere but only end up making you more cynical, depressed, and angry at others....even if you've only been with people who don't care about you, you're the one who expects your kindness to be returned due to your own lack of self-esteem....so if you aren't given anything in return, this results in the belief that they don't care and were horrible people....and that's not a healthy relationship at all.....not that I'm saying you haven't been used by some grotesque people who didn't care about you, as I have no clue as to your experiences, but only that not everyone is like that....either you change and respect yourself enough to not get hurt by your failed expectations of how people should act....or else keep going against the world, keep striving for the love of others due to a lack of self-esteem, and keep believing that you're in the right for never taking....you won't solve anything this way as you keep giving and hurting yourself to those who don't treat you with respect that you should already be giving yourself. If you want people to stop taking so much from you, stop giving them so much and expecting them to return it. And don't think low of yourself. Edit: I know my message is lengthy, but its a topic that has a lot to be said about it.

It’s impossible to make everyone happy It’s also hard making others happy when you yourself isn’t happy sometimes it’s okay to be selfish and sometimes it’s okay to just say no and move on There’s no way you can please everyone
