not everyone is meant to be a parent :/
being a parent is no longer being an individual, that kid is your new life
and if your not prepared to do that then you shouldnt be a parent

Yeah it was wrong overall. Though I'd rather him get a ball in the face for cussing someone out who's twice his size, then a guy at a bar when he's twenty. For instance my nephew has a little man syndrome, and I can tell that either he's going to learn, or someone someday is going to kick his ass. I can only hope that he comes to his senses beforehand, but some people only learn the hardway.
Hitting your kid should be a last resort. And by hit, I mean spanking. Never smack your kid, or hit them on the back(for spinal injuries) or anywhere on the face for cranial injuries. Personally, I always try to teach my nephew for instance, WHY he shouldn't do something first, and escalate the punishment if he continues. I only needed to spanked once in my entire life, I learned that moment to give my parents at least enough respect at that point.
In the end, every kid is different. Some spanking may be required almost daily until they learn. Others never at all. But the most important part is to ALWAYS be consistent with the punishment, and what you say. AND NEVER, punish them out of frustration or anger.

I'd probably do the same or just a somewhat smack on the head or arms. To me, giving kids some ass-whoppings is okay. I got ass-whoopings and turned out alright but understand it's different for others.
Think of it like this, if the child was older, probably in their teens or adult, and say that to someone else, the person might fuck them up. I'm sure someone would do worse than throwing a ball to the face.
Giving them an ass-whooping would somewhat be a good lesson.

The parent should've taught the child to not curse and be rude to others but at the same time, it's a child. He doesn't know better and probably doesn't even know what it means but just heard it somewhere. And I think the 21 year old shouldn't have done that, yes it was rude of the child to say that but it's a child. And he's a grown man, throwing at soccer ball at a 7 year old doesn't make the matters better. It makes it worse, he should've just scolded him like spanked him or told him to never say that. Violence Is not the answer!
