How many languages do you speak?

I live in a monolingual country where Chinese is dominant, moreover Chinese is an isolated language~Sino-Tibetan language family...Tibetan is very different from Chinese...As a result, learning other languages takes us more energy and time. Unlike many other members on MaiOtaku, I don't know many languages~(╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻ So far, as far my native language:1. I understand its old written language: Classical Chinese as well as modern Chinese 2. I speak mandarin and 江淮方言/扬州话/dialect. During my school years, I had to learn English..I started to learn it in middle school only from textbooks...I can write in English. Yesterday, hit by lightening, I found I actually can speak it.. 3. Japanese...I "learnt" it for two years by self-study...Am very fluent in it, though I passed N1...I'm good with reading Japanese..

English, Hindi, Malayalam, Sanksrit, marathi.. there are soo many languages in this country that even these many arent enough to communicate with all the states here lol

English and I also used to speak Hungarian but I lost it throughout the years. And I speak some of Italian since I did study it for 3 years.

Just English.....I feel like I'm the only one now... I mean some Japanese phrases I know from years of anime but I can't speak it. There are many times now when I can tell subs aren't quite right.
