Magic The Gathering?

This is my second bout with playing Magic and I have to say I'm enjoying it more this time than the first time around which was meh.. maybe 2003ish? Die-hard fans say it's gotten easier and the game balance is all off, which explains why so many cards get banned for certain play types like EDH... but it's a complex game with so much variety. That's part of it's appeal. I don't like that it sets my wallet on fire but if I'm not building a deck then I'm now blowing money on it.

Yeah that's part of the reason I haven't got back into it. I remember it was expensive. I have heard it has become a lot easier.

The money suck is really just buying booster pack after booster pack. Plus, now I have all these cards I'll never use. I've been giving them away haha. If I'm deck-focused, I'll buy what I can to make the deck happen and if it takes 3 months to complete it, then it takes 3 months. I think I worked on my Kinnan deck for at least that long. Liliana was a work in progress through all of last year.. (well both decks now that I have 2, 1 is Liliana Zombie and the other is a Liliana Discard w/Tinybones).

after spending about 800 bucks over the past year I haven't been buying too many cards. I pretty much went through and bought every card I've been wanting. I'm pretty happy with my decks. Haven't even bought a single card for myself from strixhaven.

Im sticking with mtgo budget decks for now. my playgroup doesn't want to play with me anyway

recently found a program called xmage, it's like mtgo but free. might test my decks there

Xmage you say? Hmmm...sounds familiar.
foo_fighter
Ok Xmage is good for cheapskates like me, it's fully automated like mtgo only downside is downloading card images can be long
foo_fighter
one more downside is it's not as populated as mtgo, it's kinda hard to get a game on gmt 8+ evening
