Essentially the biggest problem we have between genders at this very moment is societal norms. There are predispositions for personality and interests based on gender, but society it trying to enforce that as a general norm, not allowing deviation. And now as a reaction to that society is also trying to argue the complete opposite, which is also not true. The biological dispositions guide our respective selves towards a certain path, but we don't have to take that path, and genetics are particular to an individual further beyond what the differences of any group will be, genetically speaking. So the effort should be to destroy barriers, but not to proactively launch people into positions that they wouldn't normally go to. Affirmative action is not the answer to break the glass ceiling.
