@hell_hound7 I feel you, it's extremely frustrating but I ended up getting out instead of staying. As you know it's not what you know and how you treat and teach Joe's. Its all about PT and memorizing board questions. It's just a big political game of suck up and look out for yourself. I thought about going in the reserves and trying to teach the next wave of Joe's that way but ultimately decided not to. I wish you the best of luck if you do stay in. There definitely needs to be a break in this boss mentality in SNCO and Officers and a resurgence of Leaders.

Omg yes this, idc about half of this bs of trying to stand out and look like the most outstanding person. All that stuff is irrelevant as long as im good at my job and i perform above and beyond expectations i dont need awards, i dont need medals, i dont need recognition. Volunteer hours do jack shit when ur being shot at, ISIS doesnt give a fuck if you know all the answers to board questions. I will never in my career kiss up to anyone. My job is the mission thats all i care about, that and my peers. Anyone throwing rank around can shove it. When those O-5 come puffing their chests out i tell them how it is according to the rules and stay on top of my guidances so if they have any complaints they can take it up with my OIC so they can say the same thing.

I feel that, I was Military Police. I always had corrupt and shitty people in leadership trying to throw their rank around and tell me I couldn't do shit to them. These days people believe rank give you authority to ignore all rules and regulations. It's just a bunch of BS. I'm glad I'm out. Again I really wish you the best of luck. All you got to do is keep your head up and keep doing the right thing. Things would be better handled if IG could do their job, unfortunately they always alert Companies and BN when they are coming to investigate claims and reports, but hey that's just their way of giving them time to "correct" the issues.

IG is the biggest load of BS they came 3 times in the span of a couple months after we filed complaints. But guess where those went? No where, why? Cuz the lady that was part of the team that came to interview us WORKED IN THE SAME SECTION AS US. She isnt gonna piss off her bosses especially since IG is a temporary duty. Another thing i learned after getting paperwork for the first time. Appealing is a waste of time, if you appeal ur just sending ur rebuttal right back to the same person who gave you the paperwork. If they didnt believe they were in the right they wouldnt have given it to you. Literally ass backward systems set to punish enlisted. But officers can literally get a DUI and walk away with a slap on the wrist. Smh.

I know man, it's part of the reason I got out. No matter what I did as an MP those same officers and SNCOs always found a way to escape punishment or UCMJ. Sure they got what they needed to get from the law side of the situation but when it came to the Army side of the issue, it's like nothing ever happened. Got a DUI and beat your family why not keep you in charge of a whole battalion because we don't want to look bad. They can say what they want but UCMJ only applies to the lower enlisted unless it is something that can't be swept under the rug.
