Yo I've actually written some gay fanfic but yall I cringe so much when I read it omg. I honestly don't think my fanfic skills are bad but they certainly ain't good. My writing's just plain. The problem I have with fanfic writing is, while they are fun, I get distracted too easily. I like fanfics, but I end up feeling like I'm wasting my time, not writing my original stuff. It's hard for me to do shipfics. I admire the people who can do them.

I cringe at myself when I try to do any creative writing at all.

Same smh, except I don't think it has to do with my mediocre writing skills but with the fact that I, myself wrote it

I have a lot of issues with writing it, especially since I try to keep things as canon as possible for the very small chance that the original sees it and decides to make it canon. (Which is why I haven't finished my Tokyo Ghoul fanfic.)
