If this is something that means a lot to you, just be open and normal about it. My family knows about my love to anime and they don't give a rats ass as long as I regularly attend my classes and pay my bills.

I am who I am lol. I don´t have that much interest in Anime, Manga to call myself an Otaku. I occasionally watch that. It was part of my childhood and I like it for entertainment reasons. Never been overdramatic to Anime. I like some of them but that´s about it. Besied Tokyo Ghoul I am kind of really into that.

i mean, its not really a problem being one and if it is, dont tell them iv been into anime since i was little, and my mum tried her best to understand xD (sailormoon box set and manga i had never heard of she thought id like xD) she told me that id be out of anime by7 the time i was 15 though, thinks its a kids thing LOOK AT ME NOW OKA-SAN!!!

my dads an otaku tbh so i never had that problem but im sure the easiest way will just be to tell them and im sure they wouldn't mind much, <.< if u don't watch hentai or like me, yaoi that is
