I studied a bit of Krav Maga back when like 6 months ago. It was actually part of my daily diet routine back then. I loved Krav maga because it focuses only in one principle. You dont need to be like very athletic or very physically fit just to do Krav maga. Since everything that i mostly learned so far are just based on what natural reactions we have like blocking someone when they are attacking you upfront. And i learned how to fight against multiple enemies. What i loved most about it is that it is more of a counter-attack and there is no rules against fighting when it comes in krav maga. And i learned how to punch and kick right. Nobody is exceptional. It made me more aware of whats around me and always be prepared. Im still willing to join back anytime soon to learn more advance techniques.

^You should try it out sometimes. It was something you could really use in real life and not just for show. And i forgot to mention they have stuff too that helps you defend against someone with knife, gun or any possible weapons that could use against you. ^^
hmmm... im just curious, have anybody practiced at least a bit of MCMAP(Marine corps martial arts program) in here? Im actually willing to learn at least some basics. lol

I've taken taekwondo on and off for a while (partly because of the club we have on campus), and I've been really thinking about starting a kendo club in college. The problem is, while I can get books on the more cultural aspects and basic techniques at the library, I believe I would need to find someone with actual experience in it so that practice is actually useful (in other words, so we know we are doing something wrong), since I know how easy it is to practice taekwondo and not realize something something that could be improved (or is just plain done wrong).

I've had some training (not much) in aikido and hap-ki-do. I've kind of wanted to try Krav Maga, but only because it seems cool, and much more so Jeet Kune Do, because it seems like a good fit for me (flowing and with emphasis on improvisation outside of just formal kata), but there's no local Jeet Kune Do instructor. I've also been tempted to try to find a Tai Chi class that's not just for seniors and doesn't do the whole weaponization thing, but that's kind of a whim like the Krav Maga (but less of a whim and more of a joint health thing). At this point, I'm not sure if I could take a regular-impact martial arts class without displacing something almost every week.

I took Isshunryu Karate for a bit, then Kuk Sool Won, a korean fighting art but I like ninjutsu the best. I took Toshindo ninjutsu from a private guy in college and it was the funnest. I'd love to learn Tae Kwon Do and Savvate because I need to become much more agile than I am.
