Dragonball Super Topic

I must say...At first it was great to reminisce and continue on the Dragonball universe. It was really enjoyable to relive and update on classic rivalries and see the boundaries being pushed even more. However. I dislike the new season for the fact that Goku is getting a similar treatment to character development as Atticus got in To Kill A Mockingbird here. The hero is being completely undone. This new arc has Goku becoming in a sense an ultimate bad guy. Before he was a muscle head who loved to fight but also fight to protect his friends, family, loved ones, and all the vulnerable from the evil bullies. It wasn't a perfect pattern for storytelling but he was undeniably a kind-hearted good guy. You loved to side with him. You wanted him to somehow overcome all the obstacles and win and get stronger. Now, he doesn't seem to care about putting entire universes in danger just as long as he can have a good fight. I don't want to see one of my childhood hero figures brought down into just being a fight addict.

@yisang Yes you're right... it was a shock when I noticed that back then at the beginning of Super series. Now I just ignore it and continue to lovee Vegeta, he has improved way sooo much, Goku is just a lost cause...

@asukaangel It was an eye opener for me that Vegeta matured that much since the series started. When you have Vegeta asking Goku if getting stronger is seriously all he cares about.... the show has come upside down and on its head. @Wesley-sensei thank you thank you. Just my honest thoughts. PS: the scene of Bulma saying she was expecting and Goku being clueless and asking Vegeta was pure gold.

trying to find a bit of excitement on this tournament but so far is just soo weak!!! They could have done sooo many things to make these fights more flashy or smart or something!!! Something seems off, something is missing!!! Hopefully Krillin and #18 will spice it up a bit

And... They didn't disappoint!!! It was a really cool fight!!! Thing is I still have this feeling... aren't they rushing too much? Each fight should be tasted and I don't even know how to say that... Guess they think what we want is rush into the mc do their thing and not enjoy the other people involved, earthlings or not

And Kale? Well she's just so lady like... ROFLOL This episode was a little bit better in action terms but that's about it

Im not a fan of SSB. It's supposed to be this all powerful form, yet Goku has to transform into it against almost every person he fights. And it seems like half the time it's not strong enough. I did think it was sick on how Kale transformed and was basically Broly Jr. and was a wrecking ball of destruction. I also liked how Vegeta said that it might be a Saiyans "true form", which is a throwback to GT and the SS4 form.

Oh man, one thing I was surprised with was bringing back that old bulk up super saiyan transformation that Trunks used against Cell way back when. Of course Goku knew the form well enough that it was easier to dodge it and make Caulifla not want to use it anymore. Speaking of Goku, I'd say he's holding back since he needs to keep his strength up for later. Although, turning Blue so soon probably wasn't the best idea.
