I don't. In Germany stalking is pretty much legal so long as you're not too stupid about it. Cat calling is legal, too. I hate it.

As for experience I had my first stalker when I was 13 and sexual harassment is sadly part of my daily schedule. Yet people say feminism is no longer needed in the west... like fuck you.

You have to start out by confronting them obviously in a very public place where you are safe. In some cases the situation is too far along for this. These situations can sometimes stem from putting yourself in a bad situation. Be smart about where you go and how you handle people. People are like animals if you appear weak they will push you. Try to always have a phone on you so you can call for help. Also please try to have some way to defend yourself confidently. I myself probably would be dead if I didn't have a knife on me almost always. I had my jaw broken when I was younger but I was able to scare the person off.

Well, your safety comes first if it is a physical stalker, get support if possible, learn to defend yourself, carry a knife and or firearm if necessary/possible and know how to use it (remember knife wins over gun under 21 feet or 6.5 meters) when possible stick to high traffic areas, maintain awareness of your surroundings, at night carry a flashlight, a sturdy one as it can provide the benefits of a bludgeoning weapon and with the press of a button completely destroy a potential assailents night vision, if you pass a street that you normally take and see anything potentially dangerous.... skip that street take a longer path.
The best defense against a knife or gun here is an situational example "Give me your wallet" my reply "Here you go sir, have a great night"
Remember also that most gun related murders occur at longer distances as the closer a perpetrator is the more personalized and difficult it becomes.
For remote interactions Ignore/Block/Report, sometimes its as simple as saying STOP please, your making me uncomfortable.
De-escalation is always preferred

Agreed with Brass if it is needed to call someone out do so in a public way a) this shames them, which may stop the issue but in some cases will escalate it. b) provides safety for the one calling a person out

well as for sexual harassment, its not as easy as to tell them to stop, its embarrassing and painful

I would think that you just have to out-creep the creeper. Ask if you can light some incense and lick the inside of their eye lid around their eyeball.
