Rich or poor, it's the result of lifes choices. Unless you are born into money, your life style is a reflection of what you put into it. I agree that there's an obvious issue with the tax code. A flat tax is what I'd be down for, as well as the elimination of certain tax breaks. It's not fair that big business doesnt pay taxes. However it's also not fair that i can pay almost 20 grand in taxes, then fear having to pay more when i file; then you have someone who decides that working at an entry level position is beneath them and claims 6.5 kids on taxes and get 10 grand back. Beyond the tax code, i think much of the issue is the lack of ambition and the sense of entitlement these days. Like you said Lamby, poor people poor, rich people rich, but the middle class gets forgotten about and struggle the most.

Seems like most of you who think so take issue with unfair policies that limit or prevent income mobility. Not so much that some people have more than others.

Nope. It keeps some form of balance. Sounds fucked up but if you get a shitty job, shitty life. Good job, good life. Realistically, you got to work hard but wealth is pretty much in your own head. I'm in a poor family, go to bed hungry some nights or even a day or two. Most of the time it's three. In college debt of $50k+ and hardly have anything. Unemployed currently. Learning disorder as well plus bad vision. I get a litte frustrated but I don't really bitch about it and just utilize my best resources available. Shit doesn't work, move to the next. I refuse to get welfare. Hell, my parents refuse as well. All my left over grants were given to my mom for her needs since she's shouldering some of my bullshit. We don't like the idea of receiving money from hard working taxpayers. Welfare should only be for people in legitimate needs such as if they are really unable to work/or have conditions. Not lazy fucks who keep having babies and shit. I know I'm leeching off my parents but they know I'm not lazy. I mean I am at times but lazy as in, get welfare then make babies, and bitch about life as if they have it tough.
I kinda laugh at people who bitch about minimum wage. Here's the reality, minimum skills, minimum pay. Tons of skills, better pay. Don't got the skills? Learn that shit. Teach yourself. But these days, we got what? Protest to increase minimum wage? That happens then everything else goes up, people start bitching again. People who have good jobs may get paid more and sadly more people bitching about inequality pay again which increases shit again. Dumbasses.

The upper casts would be more wealthy than the lower casts. That way the upper cast could take care and assist the lower casts. That is how it worked for a very long time.
