Stolen Credit Card

dude its simple. You call the credit card company immediatley and say your card was stolen, and you have fraulent charges on your account and you need a new credit card / card number and want to cancel the old one.

You won't be able to make a claim on fraudulent purchases if they're still pending. Once the purchases hit the account you'll be able to claim them as fraud and depending on the CC you have, the funds will be returned. Do not cancel the CC account! Request a new card number. Closing CC can really hurt your credit

There is a difference between account number and credit card number, so it will be fine once the old number is cancelled and the new one is sent.

And for everybody who reads this thread, closing a CC that you've had for many years is a terrible thing to so. It will wreck your credit and put your ability to get a mortgage or loan in jeopardy if need be.
