@hell_hound7 A bit of misinformation, but the variant that's being spoken of was actually a weakened version of the original virus. They took COVID-19 classic and fused it with Omicron hoping to drastically weaken it. The results were that it was only a 20% drop in function. All that to say they didn't make a new more deadly virus. They only found a less efficient way to neuter the current strain. It went from killing 100% of their research subjects down to 80%.
