Yeah that sounds about right to be honest. I'm honestly shocked you were able to go through all of that without crying in a ball. So she really did quit on you eh? She was dead scared of letting you try to be there because she believed that you'd fail so miserably at it and/or that you weren't ready to do so. I actually kept telling her that even if you would fuck up miserably the first time she did - that it was part of you two growing as a couple and that it was something you both would have to go through. I mean for a good part of your relationship she was relying on me for that purpose until I kept calling her out on the same bullshit and all and you know how you can't really call her on anything or try to hold her accountable on anything and expect it to go well (or was that just me?). I mean 50/50 chance shes going to date one of those other people that shes been leaning on - seems to be how she goes. I mean you were there for her to escape too when me and her went south so it's not that much of a stretch to figure she might have done the same to you for someone else. For a "my first love just ripped my heart out" thing you actually don't seem to be all that hot of a mess compared to what you could be. I mean when my first love split with me I wish I had it as easy and soft as you did - just on some real.

Ed my point (part of it) exactly. However its still fresh for him and he hasn't have the revelations he probably needs too just yet. These revelations while helpful could take a long ass time to kick in even.

Gotta let this go thru it's course and it will hurt for a bit. When one of my ex's broke up with me (Via text, at night, while I was at work and on valentine's day, no less), it took me the better part of 1 1/2 years to get over. Of course, we were together for about 6 1/2 years and dealt with A LOT of shit together(Depression issues on her part, medical issues, her almost getting kicked out becauseof me XD, her dad dieing...etc). I can remember thinking I wanted to get back with her, I was in my car on my way to her house and then just stopped and thought how stupid I was. The pros in no way outweighed the cons and I'm actually quite thankful that she broke up with me, I'll admit that I didn't have the balls to do so myself when it was quite evident that the relationship was going no where fast. I mean, I was with her for honestly 6yrs to long. My point is, once it's done, it's done and if you're the only one wanting to be back together, there's a big sign. You'll move on, find others, probably have one or two more heart breaks(As I did, but none hurt as bad or for as nearly as long.) and life will still move on. Eventually, you'll come to the conclusion that it ending was for the best, because when you find someone who undoubtedly shows you as much, if not more love than you, you'll be so glad for the little bit of heart ache you went thru. Use this time to reflect, learn what to do next time and what it is that you truly need, not just want. *Side note... I detect a hint jealousy/feelings of retribution on napalm's part. Although, I could be wrong, but I just go off of what I read here.

Let's not turn this into a bashing thread, that's not right either. I didn't/don't know all the details and really, it's none of my business. But, if that's the case, it's probably for the best that things are over. There's a double edged kind of thing at play here, enjoy your new found freedom, work on those stubborn emotions and have some fun.;) Ed, "Inflatuated." Sounds like a stinky situation.XD
