There's actually a lot of evidence to suggest it is a simulation. Hell, there's a whole scientifically accepted theory. Not saying it's legit, but it's definitely in the realm of "possible".

@yasshat Most of the evidence for simulation theory can be explained via superstring theory. I personally just think that people are taking technologies and computing concepts that they have and applying it to the universe for an easy answer.
