A skyline would be great but they are usually out of my budget if they run. I'm not buying till February or March at least and I doubt my budget will be over $2500. But if I can get 3k or more I will. Have to see what I get back in taxes. Thanks for the advice tetsiya.

No skyline's in my area for sale though a couple mid 80s Supra's I could afford. Mistubishi Eclipse's all over the place I could afford. Only 1 RX7 (88') I could afford though someone else has a v8 swap RX7 for 3k but in my mind that defeats the point of buying an RX7 in the first place.

There are some Nissan 240sx's around but most are out of my budget and the ones I could afford have various issues or don't run. Here is an example with some random issues: https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/5861537023.html too many issues for my needs IMHO.

Of the cars that seem commonly available in my area and budget I'm most interested in Mitsubishi Eclipse and 3000GT, BMW and Mercedes and Jaguar, Subaru AWD Outback (boring but practical) and Trans-am/Camaro/Corvette (would tend to be ridden the hardest and need more work/TLC). Preference roughly in that order. I need it to be a daily driver right away though so no project cars. I don't mind upgrading or modding in the long run though which I will probably do. I've read online that the Eclipse is easier and cheaper than the 3000GT for that so that's probably my preference. Though I would be very tempted by a 2nd gen RX7 if one is around that is cheap enough. There is also a few Eagle Talon's around.

For some reason there are lots of affordable Jaguars around too. Most are really nice for the price. Seriously considering that option.

Was always impressed by the xj220. Last option is xj series but nothing like the 220. 3rd option has a check engine light, obviously u know not to get it. That s type (1st option) does have low mileage for the asking price. That 2ns option barely has info. Don't get duped into buying a car that's not worth it. Ooooh u drive a jag. Big fckn deal. Get a ricer
