I swear, ghosts have such a hard on for closets for some reason.

Honestly, I think it had more to do with dreaming and thinking I was fully awake (Like shadow people some claim to see while they're in bed.). But, I do know it scared the shit out of me for a second.lol

Maybe they're gay and scared to come out. Leave them be! lol

I tried the Ouija board again tonight with a spirit box for the first time. Actually got some evps. I'm too tired to talk about it tonight but I will describe more about it tomorrow. Spirit boxes seem like a more reliable way to communicate with ghosts. We just can't get the board to work for the last 3 years.

Yeah, using a board, cards, dice, or any other form of manual spiritual communication really requires you to be on the right wave length. Gotta meet them half way, ya know?
I have a theory about the closet thing. The pineal gland (Which is linked to the mind's eye in a lot of traditions) tends to be most active and stimulated in dark spaces. That's why it's common to have an active imagination just before bed. They probably want you there because energy follows thought. If therefore you are using your imagination to visualize something there, you've done half the work for them, making it that much easier for them to reach you.
That has a disadvantage as well, as the placebo effect will get in the way or muddy the waters if you stray too far from objective reality. It's a balancing act. And why Anomalistics applies more than science does where these things are considered.
Anyway, looking forward to your results. Never used a spirit box before.

I'm excited to put it up the evp results on YouTube. Just gotta edit it down first.
As for the closet incident before the renovations, I would often get the feeling I was being watched, especially in the early morning. After the renovation, no more feelings of being watched. Really hard to say if it is just coincidence or the spirit was attached to something we got rid of.
So far it seems like the spirit box + recorder combo is the best way to go to communicate. I agree with you about being on the right wavelength, though. When we did the oija board the other night both of us were already very tired. Maybe that's why it didn't work.

Might be feng shui related. I know nothing about geomancy like ley lines and feng shui, but I do know as an energy worker that certain channels of energy just tend to gather in corners because of how western houses are designed. That's why people tend to have a psychological unnerving feeling towards that doll in the upper corner that just kind of stairs down at them from a shelf with a goofy grin. Even if there is no actual entity there, energy can pool in an area and make you feel like something is there. Again, why the placebo effect muddies the waters. I'm sure you are familiar with the concept of a tulpa right?

I haven’t read about Tulpa, but what you’re saying makes sense. Feng shui is such an interesting concept I’d like to read more about someday
