@Naomi (or should I refer to you as Kassandra?) Often guys say stuff like "I'm focussing on my career" or "I'm lie superbusy" in hopes that they will not hurt your feelings, because the truth is thought of as more hurtful. I'm not saying I know what's going on, but in many instances guys actually don't think it's going to work out. One thing you did or he realised about the interaction between the two in the relationship, leads the guy to believe it won't work out. This is actually nothing to be angred or insulted about, because he (just as many people) has a list of things he wants and a list of things he doesn't want. If the other person doesn't match with the list that's not a bad trait of that person. It just means the two aren't a match. Still, instead of just saying that, guys often fall back on clichés like "I don't have the time at the moment", which feels wrong to the person who gets to hear the message. It's also wrong, because they are lied to. Once again: not saying this is the case, but this happens EDIT: Kassandra it is

I agree. I would rather be told the truth than blown off with a lie. Communication is key to getting along. Lies just cause hurt feelings, mistrust and anger.
