Do you think that you could ever fall for your friends?

combatvoss
Or is there a clear line between friendship and relationship?
acerola
Definitely possible. You just have to check if the feeling is mutual

I've fallen for friends before and we ended up dating and were pretty happy together. I think being friends first is actually great because it makes the transition to "relationship" easier. The first date isn't quite so awkward because you already know them well and are bound to have a good time together. But, of course, it's always tough when one friend has feelings and the other doesn't so you've gotta be really careful about testing the waters. And if in the end the other person doesn't have the same feelings you do, don't be the jerk who complains about being "friendzoned". Friendship is a wonderful thing, it's not a consolation prize.

I have many times in the past-desu. I hope I will in the future too, because a best friend is more of what I'm looking for-desu. Otherwise I wouldn't even be here-desu. I'd be on okcupid-desu. :P

If we were really close friends prior, then absolutely not. But I believe that the best and happiest couples become the best of friends during their relationship. :)

For me personally, being good friends long before starting a relationship definitely works better.

Well friendship is nice but if it evolves that is really nice... Also isn't that natural? I mean its only in fairy tales you jump from complete strangers to happily married. Nothing wrong with that, I won't judge, heck more powah to ya. But not realistic. For my Fire Emblem players, you don't jump to S support right away. Say hi with C support, become acquainted with B, and good friends with A before you start dating. You know someone better, you more likely to like then long term. Now for the people wanting a short term or fling or however ya call it, is different lol

I think anyone can fall for their friends - I have in the past; it was definitely a hit or miss thing from my experience but it can definitely happen. It also depends on what that friend thinks of you; they might want to be able to get closer to you or they'll put you in the friendzone and that's as far as it's gonna go.

Most of my friends are guys, so I can't really see that happening anytime soon.
