political bias and lack of objective thinking

People need a villain so badly that they'll make one for themselves if they have to. They need something to struggle against. At this point, I'm convinced that it's simply in human nature. There are a few rare people that can see both sides of an issue, but most tend to be biased one way or the other; and I'm in no way saying that doesn't include me either. I have certainly been just as guilty of jumping on the bandwagon in the past. Where politics is concerned, I have relatives and friends on all sides of the debate. I have an aunt who's going to be voting Libertarian. I know a guy that's good friends with my parents that is voting Republican no matter what. My parents will vote Hillary just to keep Trump out of office. I'm voting for Jill Stein. All of these people have some common ground, but it's difficult to see until you start looking for it; and all of them truly believe in their heart that they're doing what's best for the country. As long as they don't go around disrespecting and hurting each other or other people that disagree with them, then I have no beef.
