When you don't know what to say

I stare at it for about an hour. Maybe longer. Eventually I just say "I don't know how to respond to that." Then I add on to the subject that's currently being talked about. OR you can just speak nonsense. That works good too.

Don't say anything, end of story. If the convo was interesting enough you wouldn't get to that point, so let them know they said stupid shit by ignoring them. Just be honest.

@mariahaise But what if it wasn't something stupid? It could be something that made everything feel a little awkward and you just couldn't respond to that. Or it could of been something you wasn't prepared for and you just can't think of a good response. Or it could of been a confession and you can't answer because you don't know how to feel about it. It could be many good reasons that wouldn't make it stupid. Just saying. >.>

They say honesty is the best policy - so just go with what you're actually thinking. If you're not thinking anything.. Well then there's a real problem :D

@hooded I honestly don't understand that feeling then, if you can't answer then don't. If someone confessed to me and I didn't like them back, I'd reject them right away; If they said something that made it awkward, I'd either change the topic or joke it off in their own faces. Why is it so hard for all of you to be honest? You don't know what to say? Don't overthink it then and do whatever you feel like doing. It's that easy and to be specific, I am like this and it works for me since I'm not like most people that value such vague friendships/relationships. I just don't understand this doubtful feeling of maintaining something that's even a waste of time. I said that pretty aware of what he meant, just be yourselves.

@mariahaise Some people get mad when you're honest with them. As if I care when people I don't care about are mad at me and others people shouldn't care. As the saying goes," Honesty is the best policy." Like Maria said, do whatever you would do. No need to sugarcoat things.
