Pokemon Competitive play

So enough about GO let's talk about the actual mainline games! Anyone else love these games? Started with red/blue now playing OR/AS. Favorite GEN has to be the 2nd followed by the 7th Im mostly competitive tho i dont follow smogon rules overall (to constricting just wanna play with my favorites.) (Also that feeling when you hatch a perfect 6IV Shiny Charmander.)

I love the main games, and I've gotten into competitive battling. I don't abide by whatever Smogon tries to say though, since that place feels unnecessary to me. I'm only an intermediate at competitive, but that still makes me a huge threat. I do generally like to make my own strategies, along with sticking to Pokémon that I really like.
