Any dubbed fans

@ Chocopyro So true, and painful. I still remember the horror when I first listen to the dubbed version on toonmai. Subbed will almost always win over dubbed. I've only watched a few decent dubs. With most of them, it seems like they picked from the same 5 adult voice actors for all the voices of every character (including children) for every anime they dub. It's like they aren't even trying. And yes, Naruto being one of them. That and they get carried away making alterations in the script translation. As much as I hate having to read subtitles. I'll almost always choose them over dubs.

As the QUESTION MASTER lol i will just throw in about the negative about dubbed is that if the change a voice character or more during a long series that can make me unhappy :(

Wesley, there are actually a few dubs that I feel came out much better than their sub counterparts. I understand what you're saying of course, and I agree for the most part. But in animes like Le Chevalier D'Eon, or Baccano, I felt so much more immersed in the dubs than I did with the subs, BECAUSE of the alterations in the script. That's not to say that the subs weren't great. But the dubs just felt so much more inspired. That and lets face it, pronouncing french words doesn't exactly roll off the tongue for Japanese, and Americans are just way better at using American slang from the 20s than the Japanese are. Anyways, my point is, sometimes there are exceptions to that rule.

I don't mind either subs or dubs when they involve talented voice actors. I hate the "it sounds more natural in Japanese" argument. They're all voice actors; they're doing the exact same thing. We're more attuned to nuances in the voices of people speaking our native languages; those same nuances are in the Japanese voice acting too, we just can't pick up on them. And then there's 4kids. Choco mentioned accents and slang, which are my favourite parts of dubbed series. (Baccano, Black Butler, etc.) The Psycho-Pass movie was great subbed, but a large portion of the dialogue in the film is in English (so, Engrish), so I wouldn't watch it subbed again.

I personally enjoy dub but I have no problem watching a sub anime either the only thing is if there's dub and my friend only watches sub getting the timing just write to watch at the same time can be a pain lol

I'm fine with watching either dubs or subs, but I probably prefer a good dub most of the time myself. It's honestly just a matter of preference.

I prefer dub. Funimation does good dub. Though some honestly need to remain sub. I just hate reading and looking at the animation at the same time. But I watch a mix of both.
