I like both. Yes dubbed has some God awful translations but that's what makes it funny imo.

I pick sub vs. dub based on how attentive I plan on being. If I plan on actively paying attention to a series, I usually watch it subbed, but if I plan on just leaving it running in the background, I watch the dub. If I were to speak on overall preference, I really enjoy listening to the original Japanese voices more, but because I'm not fluent in Japanese (and because subtitles can only translate so much) I feel like I get more out of a good dub than just watching subtitles. English voices just communicate the underlying feelings and emotions better for me. Also, I can always immediately tell when a dub is bad, but I can't really tell when Japanese voice actors are screwing up their parts.
As many have said, which is better is usually on a series by series basis. I wish I knew Japanese, since that'd definitely be the best option for anime viewing :3

I watch a lot of dubs, usually prefer dubs if it's available. It depends, really. I'll try out an episode dubbed, and if I find the voices annoying, I'll check out the subs. And watching anime on Crunchyroll, I usually have to watch subs anyway. I met a few voice actors this weekend, and had some really interesting conversations about the dubs vs subs argument. Seeing as I'm a film student who is interested in getting into the audio production side of things (foley artist, voice recording, etc), dubs could very well be my bread and butter someday.

I like both; it depends on the anime. Some dubs are great, like Black Butler, Death Note, Durarara, and FMA. Some subs win, like No. 6, Psycho-Pass, and Tokyo Ghoul. With dubs, I really like the accents they give some characters. And it's just easier to listen to my native language.

Dubs are fine with me. Just to name a few really good ones I've enjoyed there's Hellsing Ultimate, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Trigun, FLCL, Durarara. The list is much longer than that, but I'll definitely give dubs a chance if the opportunity is there. For me, it's definitely a matter of whether the VA can capture the essence of the character they're portraying. There will always be things lost in translation or changed slightly, but it's by no means the same as it was in the 80s-90s shows. If something doesn't quite sound right for whatever reason though, I'll watch subs.

Nothings wrong with dubbed. Trust me, I'm a survivor of the ear bleeding 4kids dubs. I've watched as our favorite anime have been butchered one by one when they reached the west. (Looking at you, Naruto. Believe it.) But standards have changed since then, and we aren't getting the ADV dub of Ghost Hunt anymore! It's over guys. You can come out of the vault now. Its not the 90s anymore.
And yes, I watch both subs and dubs.
