Anime Armory project

hi everyone i'm a totally legit blacksmith, I want to make a super high quality artistic recreation of an anime weapon but i can't decide what. a unique sword from an anime wouldn't hurt my portfolio. i would like suggestions, and i don't mean tell me to make a katana did that before i was 20, i was a child prodigy at metalwork, i've done all the stuff normal smiths think is hard. i want somthing out of the norm. a challenge and something awesome.

i like this idea alot actually, i wanna watch thread for a week to see what all gets brought up then i'll make a few things.

Have you ever tried a scythe? Or perhaps you could do a replication of tsubaki's shrunken mode?

IMPORTANT: going with a 'Bleach' theme for the first blade. my goal isen't to re-create somthing from the show, i want to create an original work based on the anime universe chosen. so starting tmrw i'll begin forging my very own zanbato (japanese: 'horse cutter') greatsword. i.ll post concept art of the project in a bit.
