Crunchyroll for free helps anime industry?

monch21
Im more into helping the anime industry but, ive seen that you can only help by being a Premium member on Crunchyroll or in other words, paying for no ads and stuff. I watch it for free although, it has 3 ads when I watch. If I watch it for free do I also help the anime ind. with my view and/or ads? (Trying to uncover this myth) Would appreciate your information.

You are only helping the industry by clicking on the ads crunchyroll provides, the ads gain crunchyroll revenue in order to pay for the site and licenses. (usually ads will redirect you to the external site which allows the advertiser to pay crunchyroll for the potential customer) watching it free does not help the industry. I could go to an illegal movie streaming site with ads and watch it free and it would in no way help, in fact it would make the movie company lose out on potential profit... which is why companies are less inclined to make season sequels and movies. If you aren't so inclined to pay for crunchyroll premium (especially in the UK since a lot of shows are blocked) you could also buy merch from the crunchyroll store to help. Ideally you should support the company directly whenever possible. such as: - buying off the official site. - going to an official verified cinema such as Odeon & Cineworld - buying DVD's, Tshirts etc.. from verified shops and online retailers also help.. - paying to watch from verified sites such as animax, netflix, amazon prime, crunchyroll etc.. [eBay does not count as that is personal gain]

Got it, might as well buy the mangas or DVD, that way the help is bigger I guess.

Here is my real reason why its really not worth paying crunchyroll, funimation, netflix, hulu, and other sites. For me, it's not worth it when they don't have all anime that is out there to watch. And if they did have all the anime that was out there with streaming uncensored seasonal, I pay $30 to $36, maybe a little more, with every anime out there to be watched. So that is just me. Yet they don't have every anime. Some sites don't dub.
