Double Standards: Sexism and Feminism

The thing is we're seeing this more as a competition than an oppression. O.O We have years and years to back this up, living in a patriarchal system. Women aren't trying to outdo men, we're trying to be deemed as equal. We all have disadvantages in our own sexes like who doesn't in any social construct? We'll always have issues but we're trying to bring them all to the spotlight slowly and address them.

I do think there is a need for feminism, but it's unfortunately the far fringe SJW's like the Anita Sarkisian's that control the narrative like they represent the majority of women out there when they really don't. AS asks for $200,000 on a kickstarter for a feminist project that really does nothing to advance women's rights when she never even finished up her last kickstarter project on gaming from three+ years ago. Meanwhile, a bunch of well meaning youtubers put up a kickstarter to help the IWHC which actually helps many women internationally. I bet every guy here is sexist to some degree. Admittedly, even I am. If a drunken or agressive man throws a punch at me. I'm going to retaliate by beating their ass ruthlessly. But if a woman takes a swing at me, I'm not going to fight back. And it's not just that. I generally treat women better than men.

@arc Is that really sexist though? I mean what if you've just always inherently felt that it was just wrong to hurt or let women be hurt. Is that really sexist?

One of the things I consider to be the most hilarious in this matter is the fact that people only focus something you can't do. Sure women may not be as good at certain stuff because of certain reasons, but same goes for us men. Both have natural talents for something particular, and that does not make one side inferior to the other. It's like saying the fisherman fails at life just because he can't make bread like the baker does and vice versa. The stuff they do might be different, but it has an equal value.
