Virtual Reality Gaming

So either I'm blind or there hasn't been a recent post on this topic so I thought I'd start one up. I've recently experienced an old Oculus Rift DK2 round a friends house, and I'm totally hooked now! The only problem is do I get an Oculus or a Vive? and then do I go even further and get an Omni treadmill? Any advice would be useful. Thanks

If you have the kind of disposable income to get both gimmicks of virtual reality and treadmill then go for it; From what I've seen there isn't much support right now for games besides the fair few valve games and some others I don't know about; the games that require a VR Headset are pretty damn expensive. However porn and VR is also a thing so I dunno. I'd personally go with Vive beacuse I'm a valve fanboy and you know if there are any problems with the headset financing fixes and improvements isn't going to be an issue so there is security there. But if you had experience with Oculus and enjoyed then go with what you know. Honestly the market is too new for anyone to give an enducated opinion on it without bias or stigma; all I can say is if you got the money to spend then shill out. I'll be waiting another couple of years til I even look in VR's direction. Not sure if I helped, probably not, but that's my two pence.

@Sherflow Thats a very good point about the finances with valve! @Loli-Chen I've never heard of this solution, I'm gonna go have a look at it. @rustymech How long will you have to wait for that? And I'll be interested to hear what its like!

I don't know whether VR spreads, but that has a new possibility.
