Random thoughts...

I like hope, I think it's very important but optimism is kinda dangerous, you persuade yourself into thinking it will work out and go well. I think being humble and just seeing how it ends is better, at least then you're less disappointed.

If stay in my house too long I'll feel like a shut-in. Probably should go somewhere this fall. Neko-con is always in November.

Richmond does have festivals and plenty of niche attractions, but having lived in the area for so long I've done most of it. Spent my college years walking the streets at night with friends and you eventually run out of things to see.

@yaasshat Are you taking your family to the State Fair this year? I was going to suggest the Celtic Festival but I see they cancelled this year on their website.
