Nah, I get his point. It's saying, even if you can't accept yourself, I can and do. It's recognizing and validating how they feel, but giving them the comfort of knowing that you like/love them regardless. Sometimes that's all your partner needs. You're not there to convince them to love themselves, but you're there to let them know that you do.

Knowing and applying are two vastly different things.lol Most understand how things work, its the application part that gets tricky and thus my divorce.lol Thank the gods for that last part, in hindsight. lol Something about "do as I say and not as I do" comes to mind.lol And several decades of overthinking and a metric shit ton of introspection.

I occasionally have dreams where I am back in high skool. Yet I am at the age I am now. I keep thinking I need to graduate but remember I graduated when I was seventeen. The dream last night had me lamenting how hard it was to make friends cause I was trying to hide my age and I was embarrassed.
