I found Kaiser Wilhelm to be an interesting character from history. I feel wwi stuff is glossed over a bit too much. It's fun to dig into.

He was. Sadly people tend to forget about WWI because the popular image of WWI is 4 years of trench warfare that amounted to nothing, even though there was much more to it than that. But there's a lot of interesting stuff about World War I, even though it was overshadowed by II.

You had the Soviet union established during wwi, the Ottoman empire dissolved, the Austro-Hungarian empire dissolved, the German monarchy brought down and the lack of restoration fanned the flames of anger. Problems we have today are very directly connected to wwi

And best of all, an independent Poland and the first Yugoslavia. But yeah, WWI lead to WWII, WWII lead to the Cold War, and the Cold War leads us to where we are here in 2019, nearly 30 years after it ended...

Can you imagine a world where Archduke Ferdinand hadn't be murdered? He had a lot of nice ideas. The Balkans would have probably been a quieter place.

Yeah...WWI even had positive effects on the old China..Powerful western countries were involved in warfares, as a result, they paid less attention to China..so our national industry took advantage of that chance and developed<back then that land was colonized>.In our history textbook, they say all the powerful western countries should be responsible for WW1..

That's the thing though. We don't know what the world would like now if he had lived and there was no WWI. That is why if I had a time machine, I would not prevent any of those major things from happening, because of fear of the unknown. The world today may not be that great, but it's the evil we know.
