Metroid Series

kojitheholylight
Now to start it off, my very first game was Metroid Prime after I managed to beat it to unlock the original Metroid game. May Gumpey Yokoi rest in peace for bringing such wonderful game series to the Western world, such as Kid Icarus and Metroid. Anyway, when it came to the remake of Metroid one on the GameCube the control scheme was tricky to maneuver. Even at times it was really frustrating as hell, thanks to the one famous code. Narpas Sword 0000 0000, made the game so much more pleasurable to play. Mother Brain was extremely time consuming, and challenging with that code. At first it simply frustrated me, but it felt good beating the game for my first time. My older brother had an original Gameboy, and had Metroid II: The Return of Samus loved that game. My gaming collection also consisted of Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Zero Mission. Love those games very much, and I also have the black sheep too. That being Metroid: Other M.

Aw, no love for Super Metroid? What many people consider one of the greatest games of all time.

Oh no, no, no I happen to love that game too so many fun speed running glitches involved in the game. I have yet to beat the game myself.

Prime is well... Prime XD Other M was ok, but I can't seem to play it more than once... Super Metroid is fantastic though!!! I'd love to see a Mario Maker esk Metroid Game designed like Super.

Omg, thank you so much this thread hasn't received much love in weeks. Still I can see your point, which we absolutely want a remake of Metroid 3 Super Metroid. I also think we should get a legit remake of Metroid 2 we deserve it, because well I love Zero Mission. It is a great game series we want more.

And yet the only thing we have coming in the near future is Metroid Federation Force. Anyone cautiously hopeful for this 3DS game?

Mmmm...if I'm being entirely honest, Federation Force doesn't look appealing to me at all. I think Prime Hunters looks like more fun, and that was my least favorite Metroid game. I think at the very least we can all agree that this isn't going to be any Prime or Fusion or what have you. Guess it's pretty obvious that I love Metroid. And that the Prime trilogy and Fusion are my favorite entries. Also loved Zero Mission, Super Metroid, and Other M (I really liked the gameplay and all the throwback bosses they put in). Hoping we get another proper Metroid title someday, whether it be another 3D one like Prime/Other M or a 2(.5)D one on the 3DS. @Koji You know, someone is remaking Metroid 2. They have been for years. Check out Project AM2R if you haven't already. It's looking pretty darn good for a fan-remake.

The only Metroid game I've played is Metroid Prime. I can honestly say that it's by far one of the best games on the GameCube. In fact it's probably one of my favourite games ever for that reason.

Oh, I actually have the fan made demo of Metroid 2. Also it is nice to see someone else liking Other M, and I was playing the Metroid 2 remake on Easy. I am having a hard time finding one Metroid in one part of the game. I agree, Nintendo needs to make a good Metroid game again ever since that time with that accident. Gumpei Yokoi would have known what to do with Metroid, and Kid Icarus. Uprising was truly awesome in gameplay, and the story had it all. It simply looks like my kind of game, Federation Forces...I am not sure where I stand on it exactly to be honest.
