Long Distance Relationships

I think being in a long distance relationship is very hard and i think most of the time it doesn't work out because it lacks physical face time. I was in a 6 month long distant relationship,and one of the main problem was lack of trust that we both had for each other. We both didn't live that far away from each other. What ended my relationship was lack of physical time. i was too busy with school that i would talk all night with her and study till morning because i put a lot of my time towards our relationship. I did all this ,and when i find out she was going out with someone else this whole time it made me think, what did i do to deserve this. The hard part was moving on , but regardless of what life throws at you, you just have to keep your head up, and keep going.

Ive been through that recently. I know that feel trust me. Dont even ask if how many years weve been in a relationship, its enough to make anyone go nuts. But i believe that moving on isn't the hardest part of all its all about acceptance. At least you did your what you have to do. Just try not to be bitter about it. She made a decision anyways. Just like what happened to me.

Ohhh. I go back and forth on this topic. It's extremely circumstantial. I've been in long distance relationships before... 40 minutes & 6 hours (albeit, the 6 hour relationship had started out close... I moved). It depends on the needs of each person.. somewhat on their personalities... and their flexibility at whatever time it is in their life. I happen to know a couple that has shocked me. He lives in Canada (like... over Washington state Canada)... and she lives in Connecticut. It's ridiculous. But they've been together for a long time now and she actually plans on moving there after she finishes up this next semester. I, however, have been in a relationship where the other member decided 15 minutes was too long a drive for him to ever put in the effort. ^^

Yeah. Seriously. The first year (at least) of that relationship was all my effort. I know, I'm an idiot for putting up with it. :/

I'm not judging. My past two relationships were about 2 hours away from me and I dedicated myself to being there as much as I could. 15 would be ideal, so I dunno what that guy's problem was.

LOL. That guy had a lot of problems. If I could write a book on "the worst decisions ever made" that relationship would be the main theme. My gosh. And that's really, really sweet. I can't believe you drove 2 hours for a girl... TWO. Man. What was THEIR issue? -_-

Aww, thanks! The first one there were a lot of issues between us in the end. The second one the issues weren't too bad and we're still good friends. I've told the stories once or twice on here, so please excuse my vagueness. If you're that curious, I guess we could compare over private messages...XD
