How important is Anime/Manga to you in a relationship?

gurren921
It'd be great if they did. Because a love with anime is even greater than a love of anime xD

I think we need to share some kind of nerdy interest and anime is one of the big ones for me. i.e If she's into gaming but not that into anime then I see no issues because we can still enjoy something together. Although a girl who's really into anime would be great.

She doesn't need to be a full blown otaku, I'd actually prefer it if she weren't. I like doing other things aside from manga and anime. But a total dislike or neutral view of anime/manga wouldn't work for me. I'd like someone who at least has some degree of interest in my hobbies and will participate from time to time.

In general, I'm fine if different interests doesn't cause problems. Like we can both love anime/manga, but our interests in it could be completely different from each other. My ex hated anything to do with space or mecha animes, I liked them. She liked horror and romance animes, I didn't. And don't get me started on the repeated arguments on our sub vs dub fights, wasted hours after the first fight. I don't care what the other person is into, that's fine. I just don't like being forced to do things I'm not interested in doing, it'll just make me hate it more instead of the chance of me liking it. I won't force the person to like what I like. If they do, cool. If not, that's fine. Just don't make problems with me because you don't like my interests.

Well it would be easier to relate rather than getting the what the fuck are you talking about expression.

It would be cool to find someone who actually did enjoy it, but it isn't a big deal. If they accepted my habit of watching it then it's good enough for me.

Isn't it important to share interests with a person your going to be spending lots of time with? I would say it matters but not overly so.

LMAO are you serious?...Of course it matters. They can´t have the exact same interest´s in anime but enjoying watching together would be lovely and open a variety of conversation topics. It´s a matter of taste in entertainment it helps way more in a relationship. :)
