If you've ever cheated on someone why did you do it?

Having a mistress without telling your wife is cheating. Just as bad as any other type of cheating. If she agrees to it, well congratulations you came down to the level of generations long gone. Gone for a reason. Same thing if the genders are reversed.

I was engaged to someone and at the very end of our relationship we grew apart. To the point where i took a trip to Colorado and i didnt hear from her until the day before i was coming back and i was there for 9 days. While i was gone she spent her time hanging with random guys and i ended up cheating on her with a friend of mine while i was there. I did try to fight her off of me. But i am a guy and after awhile i gave in. I knew our engagement and relationship was done. But we didnt officially end it till i returned so technically i did cheat.

Guess i should answer the other questions as well lol. I didnt want to cheat. Even though we both knew that the relationship was pretty much done. I didnt want to cheat. She was my first and i was with her for 4 years up until then. I was just caught in a situation where the friend i was with was in love with me and she was actually my first love. And even with me feeling how i did for her i tried really hard to stop her advances. But eventually my hormones took over and I gave in. I felt bad about it. Even though my ex and i stopped being a couple long before i made the trip. Neither one of us verbally broke it off.

Only time i ever got cheated on when i joined the Reserves and went for my Basic Training, After my 5th week i figured out my girlfriend Had sex with the Dude that i had a quarrel with... It was during a summer HS party. Boy i felt like a broken-shaved-tail after that... Stupid thing is that i still tried to make it work after that, then boom! again! No sex but... Guess she was still talking to him, i know now i was the idiot kid for not breaking if off immediately. But i guess have i ever cheated? Nah, But i will admit i was a rather attentive seeker when i was a freshman in High-school; was pretty popular with the Fresh and sophmore girls. Never really did have a relationship at all in high-school at all, but i guess i liked the feeling of getting chased. Although i don't care for the feeling anymore and i guess i never really liked the majority of girls around here... Honestly for the longest time i didn't know why... But No, i suppose i never and if i did without knowing... i regret it.

Was in a 6 year relationship with a girl i spent just about every waking minute with, shows, games, anime, etc. In the beginning she was self harming and depressed and nobody ever got her help for it before so i convinced her to do it. 2 years later she lost her insurance and i used about all of my paychecks covering her medicine and treatment, she also had a couple of other health issues. A couple times she had to go to the hospital, so I would visit her and wait in the hallway for another 3 hours to be there for her next visiting window(hospital was a bit of a distance from my home). Although with various other things, no license so often times when she was sick id walk a pretty far distance to get her medicine and soup. We had a thing in our relationship for our time of 6 years i wouldn't keep any close female friends and she wouldn't keep any close guy friends to not complicate things. On the 21st (april 2016) she was texting a female friend and put her phone down, as she was sitting there i said I'm gonna send her a funny text(she had access to my phone as well) and as i picked it up and she jumped up, it was a guy. She made excuses that it was a random text and then said she just added him that day. The next day I read a letter to her just about what we've been through and if she was flirting with another guy or if it was really just a friend. 6 year relationship I wasn't expecting this answer, she told me she slept at this guys house a couple times and shes been talking to him for a month, she continued with telling me she has gone down on him and wasn't going to tell me but i found out. She said her idea was to do it for a month, stop and continue life with me. Told me she didn't even love the guy or anything like that and loved me and wanted to be with me etc. This wasn't going to be told to me but i found out and questioned her, and she dropped a bombshell on me i wasn't expecting. This was all 3 days ago, my birthday.
