Is it worse to be too easy/attainable or too picky/unattainable?

I kinda want to give everyone cookies who participated in the last 2 pages. We all had our own opinions and expressed them without someone getting butthurt and/or thread warz happening. ^_^ Difference of opinion were managed like adults. Such a damn relief from this last week on here.

"Dare I say the less evolved ones" Oh dear... a tad pompous that one. Humans are prone to mistakes and stupidity. I can say with confidence that I am above average intelligence (in memory of general knowledge and processing of information) and my standard vocabulary makes most people scratch their heads in confusion. Especially the unorthodox, well lets say less colloquial, way I use language. But I don't think less of people for it. I'm just obsessed with improving my mastery of something. Not everyone will have the same passion for it, but that doesn't mean they're less evolved. Sorry that really rubbed me all the wrong ways and honestly I do wanna get along and rub everyone here the right way. But I'm not gonna be a kiss ass about it.

Maybe your ego is hurt because I denied your friend request but read everything I wrote next time instead of writing paragraphs about things not connected to the topic. Over the last years I became a pretty risky and daring person. I just DO things, which helped me to stop procrastinating and wasting my time, but I think it also influenced my approach towards other people. Being too straight forward is quite irriating for many people. I think it could work out if you`re not too picky at first, when it comes to getting to know each other and just see if you two are comfortable around each other or not. Sure, one might end up being hurt, because the other one might have less interest in the end, but I think that`s something that can`t be avoided anyways. Taking a risk is just necessary sometimes, even if it doesn`t work out or brings some pain. Maybe I change my opinion if I get rejected a lot after some dates, but I have never been into a dating situation anyways, so I can only think of that so far.

Since we're going with one of two extremes, I suppose I'd have to go with it being worse to be too easy. The only problem I see with people being too picky is that they may be missing out on something by not giving someone a chance. Reason I would have to go with too picky being better however is that ideally, you should find someone as close to perfect for you as possible. Someone who is too easy might just as easily get interested in someone else, and either cheat or suddenly break up with you to be with that other person. Experiencing that sure wouldn't be nice, so at least being too picky helps avoid heartbreak. I think this is why some become too picky.
