Overcome yourself and be different

sonofawolf
Hi, my name's Clement. I live in France (but i'm Belgian) and i am 22 years old. I am also socially awkward, curious, rebellious and i love thinking. I don't believe in dogmas but rather my own perception. I am often alone. I want to find people with whom i could relate to. Any sceptical mind out there? Minorities who want to stay themselves in spite of all the social pression? I would love to communicate with these people. Good day!

Well, you're in rhe right place then.:)
sonofawolf
Would you like to tell me about yourself?
yaasshat
What would you like to know? That's a very vague question. I like deep conversations, even if I know next to nothing about the topics I love to talk about. I'm mildly spiritual in that I believe there to be something, but I don't have a definition as to what. I like anime, but am nowhere near obsessed. Anything more, feel free to just talk here or on my profile page.

My name is Audrey, I'm Vietnamese, 25 years old, live in California, and I'm transgender. I used to think that by being myself it would cause all sorts of issues for me but I soon learned that people in general are friendly where I live. There was a little trouble in the family but even they came around. When I first started presenting myself as female openly I was told to not attract any attention to myself, stay in groups of friends when I go out, and that "passing" matters a fucking lot. The only social challenges affecting me come from news about other queer folks and the awful things that happen to them. I must be incredibly lucky. Oh wait! I get mad dogged at the gym sometimes and that's about it.

I thought it was more like a "I'm a minority and this is how I do it" type of thread.

Sunflower > Yeah well it's a thread for those who feel marginalized because of their way of thinking / living / being and want to find people like them to talk to. But others can join if they are interested in discussing. Claymore > I'm glad that you were accepted around you, although there are many intolerant people. Expressing your difference is harder than just hiding it. My difference isn't about gender choice, but rather a complete rejection of beliefs, dogmas, moral values i do not own. As such i do not believe in good or bad but rather in my own interpretation. When i see so many prejudices around me, it pisses me off, although i cannot do anything to help it. I always feel "far away" from others because of it. Thank you for talking about yourself in this post. I hope you keep on staying true to yourself in the future.
