I was talking about friends. During birthdays and Christmas I would want to get a friend something if I'm close enough to him. Definitely not buying A guy. I'm too broke for that. Plus it is demeaning.

i only have a really low amount of real life friends so i know their interests enough to give them the right presents

The guy friend I have rarely talks about his preferred gifts and mostly falls into "the thought counts". So like, of I buy you a bra you'll wear it cuz the thought counts? I can't work with answers like that efficiently.
