I'm always coming up with characters, but since I can't draw, I rarely ever have a design to follow. Just kinda ideas of what they look like. So you have characters like many of the characters in my visual novel who started out as forum style roleplay characters on Gaia, who use "Face Claims" of other characters as sort of the "They look kinda like this." and you have characters who were created more for pen and paper roleplays, or stories I plot out but never really write. The latter are usually easier for me to cosplay, since I can use myself as a base for what they look like, as I have no other reference. So I can kinda define what they look like based on what I am able to acquire and what looks good on me. And yeah, in the case of my ranger outfit, the components of that existed before the character did. And a lot of the resleaders I play in HVZ use varient of my already acquired gear that I'm known for wearing when I play the game. (I have a new trench coat for my last resleader character for example, but his basic load out under the trench coat remained familiar to what I usually use when playing the game.) I think the stage that is inherently more fun for me is when everything just kinda clicks like "Okay, so this is WHO the character is, rather than what they are." Because backstory, plot, and all that stuff is just what I do as a roleplayer and a writer.

I can't draw but i can write. I also have a vivid imagination so i can clearly see everything in my head as if a mental movie is playing. I ca put it in writingif i know what stuff are called.

Yeah, I do actually know more about my forum based RP character appearances, but while I'm good at visualization myself, I also tend to subconsciously change character designs in my head. Though when explaining my characters visual appearance, the only one in my VN who came out EXACTLY how I pictured her was Hoshiko.

DOES this mean you cross dress as your female D&D characters too? That's cute. Simple and easy looking design too. Is she a witch or cleric?
