^that's so hard to imagine because theres so many different cuisines and cooking techniques but how about dim sum? I think thats pretty hard to master. Personally baking is life rn and theres this cake thats a mix between pudding/flan and cheesecake, caaan't wait to try it ^^

ok so i tried to add vanilla extract, a teaspoon, and its a little too sweet for my tastes, can really taste the vanilla
but my mom likes it better this way, so theres that
recipe:
in a medium bowl put
2cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
quarter teaspoon salt together
mix with a whisk
in a separate bowl put together
soft stick of butter
3 quarters cup of brown sugar
in a separate bowl mix 2 eggs and add to the bowl with the sugar and butter
i messed up on this by not pre mashing the oven ripened bananas before adding them to the sugar and butter, but i used a potato masher and then the mixer again and it came out fine
random amount of cinnamon
one teaspoon of vanilla extract (i wont be adding that in the next batch as i prefer it being more naturally sweet)
i then folded the dry mixture into the wet until it was mixed enough (you dont want to over work the batter)
and then in the oven it went!
and thar ya have it!

gets an A for fluffy but i didnt really like them, mum did
ill try again and practice them more, pancakes are kinda staple and its fun knowing how to make them!
10/10 peeps would rather have french toast though
1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
1 table spoon baking powder
half teaspoon salt
3 1/2 tablespoons sugar
sift together the dry ingredients (makes it super fluffy!!)
set the dry mix aside and get a bowl for the wet ingredients
1 1/2 cups butter milk (room temp)
two eggs added to the butter milk (room temp)
1 teaspoon vanilla
tablespoon melted butter (i used room temp)
mix wet ingredients with whisk
pour the wet mixture into the dry, a few gentle stirs as to not over work the batter
i want to add fluffed egg whites in next time to male it extra fluffy!
so if anyone knows how to improve my recipe please say!! im really not happy with these >~<

Gawdleee - Dim sum is a great idea. And do you mean a custard? Like a creme brulee? Or even something more baked like a souffle?
Personally, I don't care much for souffles. They take like a wet brownie. But the regular custard foods are delicious.
Once I get my paycheck, I'll buy stuff to make dim sum.
Topic Answer - Dinner tonight was just simple seared pork chops, steamed green beans and brown rice. I did have some arrowroot matcha and sciency ice cream candy yesterday though.

Here's an old photo of my first attempt at making melon pan from scratch. I haven't exactly gotten better at making them more aesthetically pleasing, but it's rare I make them to be honest.

These are some heart shaped homemade chocolate bars with nuts and stuff I made on Valentine's day a couple years back, accompanied by an origami rose. I've never had a valentine, just made it to make it.
