Also, " you can't make the world into candyland through taking things from people who work hard and give it to people who don't and handing our rights and privileges to people who don't need them" and that comment about welfare...
You're erring dangerously close to sounding like you genuinely believe the whole poor people being nothing but lazy leeches stance. Don't do that. There have literally been books written on the topic of wealth inequality and disparity in the US. Believing that the US is some kind of meritocracy where hard work equals success is fallacious logic for the poor and the wealthy. And if you genuinely believe it, rather than going on another rant which I seem to be doing a lot here, I'll just point you to some required reading.
I studied accounting and tax code in school and let me tell you, there are a lot of ways for affluent individuals to avoid taxes and paying any sort of due. It is basically a regressive system at this point.

Then I suppose we will agree to disagree about this. Because as far as I am concerned, the perception of black people being somehow more violent is a fucked up situation to put them in. Take for example I'm at a supermarket. The staff is being friendly to the white person in front of me but is curt, short tempered and quiet with me. They insist to check my card against a list of bad credit cards despite not doing that to the person in front of me. Now if I get upset or complain then I'm just confirming their bias about black people being quick to anger. But if I go along with it and do nothing then that's as good as saying that it's okay.
Your perception that black people are just naturally more violent is a flawed one in my eyes because it does not account for circumstance or autonomy and is just a blanket statement. And as I said it is self-fulfilling. Treat black people like they are more dangerous then justify it by them being upset when they are treated unfairly. It didn't start with blacks being more violent. It's not as deeply ingrained as you seem to think.
Oh, and my supermarket example was actually taken from Joy DeGruy. Look up "Cracking the Codes: A Trip to the Grocery Store" if you're interested.

And just to be clear, I'm not saying black people are incapable of being stupid or violent or that there is always some sort of justifiable reason to it. They are, as is everyone else, people who are capable of making mistakes.

To be fair, those statistics on black fathers and abandonment do not take into account how many black fathers separate from their wives but stay actively invested in their children's lives. My cousin is actually in that same situation and loves both her parents and step parents. She has an awesome time at Christmas too =)
I don't think ill of you. You seem thoughtful to me. If my rants make it seem like I'm mad at you or anything, I'm really not. At the same time, I feel it is necessary to explain why it is my stance differs from your own. And also societal perceptions are bullshit in many cases.
