Is being a little different so wrong?

I have always been a very strange person I guess..well at least that's what people tell me. I feel happy the way that I am but the guys I have dated say my ways are too much for them and they wished I would just act normal. I used to be against changing for anyone but now I don't know. Should I tone down my personality a little bit so guys won't be so overwhelmed?

I'm not sure how strange you mean but I'll assume you want to keep it to yourself or else you would have said it, that's fine. You could tone down your personality at first and open it up little by little as people get used to it. If you do decide to change, try to use your instincts to see if they matter enough for you to change.

honestly.... you shouldnt have to change for anyone... or tone it down. You will find the person who likes you for being you. I used to change the way I acted during relationships to be more like how my GF wanted... but yeah I wasnt happy, and it would stress me out or give me depression just to make them happy.

There's nothing wrong being different whatsoever. Personally, I'm a complete nutter who never shuts up 95% of the time and yeah there are people who have problems with that but I just end up avoiding those people and I stick to the people who talk as much as I do or enjoy the fact that I talk a ton. You shouldn't have to change for anybody because it's like someone asking you to stop being yourself and fall in line like those weirdos who desperately try to be as popular as possible all the time by following nothing else but trends and fads. You shouldn't have to feel like you need to change for anyone.

Different is beautiful, dont change for anyone. My friends tried to get me out of anime when I was in highschool. You shouldnt have to change for anyone an I sure as hell didnt. Just for trying to change me I made her sit through a Naruto Marathon boy did she hate that but did she sit there the whole time yes indeedy XD. Im mean an this is irellavent but you get the picture. You'll find someone that likes you for you. If you feel like you like who you are theres no reason to change.

I don't think there are any people who are "different". Its just the amount of individuality everyone has. Some just show it more than others. And since its always a trend for young people to show it, its mostly nothing but attention seeking. Especially when it comes to anime, I get the feeling a lot that many people watch it to feel special and different. Which is kinda funny, because anime is pretty much the most mainstream thing we had the last years. And its a wrong motivation either, nothing but changing yourself for the purpose.
