last major anime series purchase easily was like 500-600 bucks for the complete blu-ray. Now if we are talking about anime merchandise oh boy too much was spent

I buy some. I have a decent collection but my funding is limited so it's only a tiny fraction of what I watch and read.

I might do crunchyroll again. I didn't have much time to watch when I did subscribe. I still get my blu-rays though.

No kidding! I remember even 13 years ago it was so much more of a challenge. I'm glad it's been taking a global trend - well....it has been for quite a while. Still - to have access to so much material is a treat.
