Personally I consider Myself a Realistic Optimist. I understand things will not work out the way you plan or hope, But am confident that they will end on a positive note for many involved.

I'm told I have a very strange form of optimism. I see most of the pitfalls in life as a transitory experience, and so my optimism is more anchored to the longterm rather than short term. In general, I do consider myself an optimist.
