So this ff7 remake

I'm hoping for the best. I'm definitely still going to play it, and I'll get use to the battle system like any other game, though the swapping of materia was one of my favorite parts.

I'm reserving judgement until I can see a bit more gameplay footage. Really not digging the episodic format. Would have settled for slightly reduced textures etc if it meant they could keep the game world the same. Will have to wait and see...

I figured they'd split it up. If you faithfully do everything in the original game without cutting anything out, no way was that all <50gigs.

I am optimistic. At first I was really iffy with the announcement of them splitting the game up...but after giving it some thought it makes a lot of sense. There was so much content in FF7 - in order to get the most out of it they would need to change it up.

I call bull on splitting FF7 into episodes. First off the blue ray can handle the huge amount of data. Second, if fallout 4 can handle a big world with a lot of content on the ps4, then whats Square Enix's excuse. I'm sorry but I can't help but feel like they are being lazy. If they do split it into episodes, then I'm waiting till they come out with a bundle pack for them, because I get the feeling they're going to sell each episode separately for 30 or higher.
